About you:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Operations Manager to join our team! This role will be critical in ensuring our financial operations are fully compliant with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and you will work closely with our Executive Team. You will manage team budgets and tracking expenses across the organization. You will be instrumental in providing financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making and optimize spending plans. You Will:
Accounting and GAAP Compliance:
- Prepare all accounting reports and present to executive leadership monthly
- Ensure adherence to GAAP standards in all financial operations, transactions, and reporting.
- Regularly review internal processes and controls to identify potential compliance risks and ensure financial operations are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate timely and accurate financial audits and reporting.
- Prepare necessary documentation to ensure compliance with corporate governance, tax, banks, and regulatory requirements.
Expense Management & Budgeting:
- Manage and track departmental budgets, ensuring that spending aligns with organizational goals and financial forecasts.
- Work with department heads to allocate and monitor funds, providing recommendations for optimizing cost efficiency.
- Oversee and manage expenses via Ramp (our expense platform) and ensure expenses are compliant across all departments
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide ongoing financial analysis to inform business decisions, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential cost-saving measures.
- Take full ownership of Anrok (our tax platform) and all tax-related responsibilities, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all related processes.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and spending patterns.
- Assist with the development of financial models to support strategic initiatives, budget planning, and resource allocation.
- Prepare regular reports on financial performance and make recommendations based on analysis of financial data.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with various departments, including HR, Operations, Sales and Marketing, to ensure efficient resource allocation and spending control.
- Assist department leaders with financial planning and provide guidance on cost management, process optimization, and improving financial transparency.
- Act as a point of contact for financial queries, offering solutions for cost-related challenges and providing clear financial insight to non-financial teams.
You have:
- SaaS experience is preferred
- 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations, with a focus on GAAP compliance and expense management.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficient in financial software tools (QuickBooks, ChargeBee, HubSpot, Stripe, etc.)
- Experience with financial modeling, variance analysis, and developing key financial reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across departments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in an accessible and actionable format.
- Familiarity with Anrok and Ramp is preferred
